Fractional CTO / Tech Lead

I act as your embedded technical partner: making architecture decisions, setting engineering standards, coaching your developers, and contributing directly to roadmap and feasibility conversations. This isn't advisory from a distance — I'm in the work with you.

Engagements include two fixed alignment sessions per week with flexible async availability across the rest. I take on a maximum of two clients at a time.

I have hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities into production environments: document retrieval systems, chat interfaces for operational teams, and AI tooling in developer workflows. I help you identify where AI genuinely adds value, evaluate the right tools, and implement in a way that's practical and maintainable, not just impressive in a demo.

Architecture & Code Review

Sometimes the most valuable thing is a clear-eyed assessment of where things stand.

I audit existing codebases, frontend architecture, and engineering workflows and deliver an honest, actionable picture of what's working, what isn't, and what to prioritise. I also review technical specifications, vendor proposals, and scoping documents: checking whether the proposed solution answers the right question and whether the scope is realistic.

Good for teams preparing to scale, inheriting a legacy codebase, or making a significant technical investment.

Technical Due Diligence

Making a significant technical decision. Hiring a dev team, acquiring a product, or evaluating a vendor? I give you a senior second opinion before you commit.

I assess codebases, engineering teams, and technical proposals against real-world standards, and deliver a clear picture of risks, gaps, and what good would actually look like. Scoped engagements, fast turnaround.

Workshops & Talks

Available to speak at conferences, meetups, and company events (Dutch or English) on topics spanning frontend architecture, Vue.js and Nuxt, design systems, AI in web development, and cross-discipline collaboration.

I'm an active member of the JSNation program committee and have spoken at VueJS Amsterdam, JSNation, FrontendNation, FrontMania, and others.

For teams, I run tailored workshops that translate complex technical concepts into accessible, actionable knowledge for developers, designers, and stakeholders alike.
