Long bio

Joran Quinten is a full stack engineer and fractional CTO with over 15 years of experience across frontend engineering, technical leadership, and design systems. He has led engineering teams at organisations including Jumbo Supermarkten, ProRail, and Greenhouse Group, and currently works as an independent consultant partnering with growing teams that need senior technical direction without a full-time hire.

He is the author of Building Real-World Web Applications with Vue.js 3, published by Packt, and writes for Smashing Magazine, Better Programming, and other publications. He is a member of the JSNation program committee and has spoken at VueJS Amsterdam, JSNation, FrontendNation, FrontendMania, and NuxtNation, among others.

Joran is passionate about helping teams build better — not just faster. He believes the best technical leaders are the ones who make themselves unnecessary: raising the bar, transferring knowledge, and leaving systems and teams stronger than they found them.

He is based on Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands and brings a dry sense of humour to every stage he stands on. 🖖
